Ocean Front Yoga Classes every Wednesday and Friday

 Every Wednesday and Friday from 9 – 10 AM Amy instructs Gentle Yoga on Hutchinson Island with a beautiful Ocean View. This class is suitable for all levels, beginners are welcome. It is an alignment based slow Yoga flow.

imagesCAFZUZ1PIn all classes everyone is encouraged to practice according to their own ability, to challenge themselves and at the same time never pushing past the body’s thresholds. We strengthen and increase balance and flexibility little by little in a non-competitive environment.

Focus On The Breath

 

We focus on our breath as a means to calm the body and mind. Breathing techniques are practiced during class and this benefits our Yoga practice and also our daily living.

The breathing practice is also the inner work we do while sitting for the beginning moments of each class. We practice being awake, fully conscious, observing ourselves without reacting, without being detached, without judgment, letting go of the need to control, letting go of aversion to the unpleasant and letting go of clinging to the pleasant, being and living in the now.

This is the practice that reduces stress and suffering, that brings balance, peace, and true happiness. This is the practice that enables us to be present in everything we do and with everyone we meet. The practice gives us a choice, an alternative to mindless action and suffering.
